New Models from Atlas and Atlas O


Atlas and it’s sister company Atlas O will unveil several new models this fall in several different scales.

First in N scale, the C-420, coming out in October, will sport the colors of the Arkansas & Missouri, Delaware and Hudson, Lehigh & Hudson River, Conrail, Lehigh Valley, Nickel Plate Road and Louisville & Nashville. There will also be an unmarked  version available. This diesel locomotive model will have line-specific detail, directional lighting and magnetic couplers. They will sell for 109.95 (direct current) and $139.95 (DCC)

Coming down the tracks in HO scale will be General American Transportation Corp (GATX) 20,700 gallon tank car. Road names will showcase Dow Chemical, GATX, Quality Liquid Feeds, Monfort Packaging, Pennzoil and Relco tank line, as well as an undecorated version. No price set as yet.

Also in HO is a 5701 cubic-foot-capacity plastic pellet hopper from American Car & Foundry. These will be adorned with the name of Dupont, Occidental Chemicals, Soltex Polymer and American Hoechst Plastics Division and will be moderately priced at $29.95.

Atlas O’s contribution this fall will be an Electro Motive Division MP-15DC diesel locomotive. This one will carry the colors of Alaska RR, Burlington Northern Santa Fe, CSX, Genessee & Wyoming, Reading and Southern Pacific. Likewise undecorated models will be offered for sale. This one will run $479.95 for a two-rail model featuring DCC and QSI Quantum Sound System, and $249.95 for an unpowered version.
