NMRA Australasian Region 2007 Blue Mountains Convention
The 2007 Blue Mountains Convention of the Australasian Region of the NMRA will be held on Saturday, October 6th, 2007 in Wentworth Falls, NSW from 8 AM to around 9PM.
There will be several workshops and clinics, as well as a bring and buy table, Modeling Contest, ladies program (bus tour of the local Blue Mountains sites) and a layout tour on Sunday. There will be both a catered lunch and dinner, with awards presented during.
There will also be an after dinner speaker, (at this time to be determined) and plenty of traders present. The Convention venue will be at the Blue Mountains Grammar School, Matcham Avenue Wentworth Falls. Cost of entry is $45, with an additional $22.50 if you'd like to partake in the dinner. (and who wouldn't!)
There is ample parking on the site, and you can actually get to the site best by train, and then a short
three minute walk from the station to the venue.
If you would like to enter the modeling contest and need entry forms or information, the contact information is available on the convention website.
There is no limit on the number of models you may enter, and this year's special award will be presented to the best Model of Australian Prototype. This can be a locomotive, rolling stock or scenery.
